A Richarlison double secured a 2-0 win for Brazil over Serbia in their FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 opener on Thursday.

The five-time champions dominated the match from start to finish, but they were unable to break down a stubborn Serbian defence in the first half.

However, Richarlison finally found a way through in the 62nd minute, with a fine header from Vinicius Junior's cross.

The Tottenham forward then sealed the victory with a stunning scissor-kick in the 73rd minute.

With the win, Brazil moved to the top of Group G, while Serbia dropped to third place.
